A new build with some changing requirements which we accommodated flexibly.
This site was built for a medium-sized construction business in the UK. It was mainly required to serve as a portfolio and a point of contact for the business, bringing in potential leads.
There was no existing website or design files to work from, so everything was done from scratch.
Let's look at how we did it:
The client had provided us with their logo which was to be used on the site. So we used the colours of this logo to inspire the colour scheme throughout the site, giving it a clear identity in keeping with the company's existing branding.
Next, we employed some of our SEO expertise to ensure that once launched, the site would have the best possible chance of ranking #1 for the company's name. Among other things, this included ensuring the site was loading as fast as possible:
Based on the information we had been given concerning the projects, we created a template for project pages. This template can be used to quickly and easily add more projects to be displayed in the portfolio.
This initially included a multitude of data points concerning the projects, such as number of bedrooms and bathrooms, floor area, etc. We also built it so that the page information could be easily printed in a presentable design if required.
However the client opted for a simpler solution whereby only the photographs of the projects were required.
With the project pages in place, we created the Portfolio page. As the client had a lot of great quality photographs of the projects, we made use of these.
This is automatically populated with the projects that have been added to the site without any manual input required beyond creating the projects.
The portfolio can also be filtered by visitors on the type of construction project it is.
In order to encourage website visitors to get in touch with the client and potentially become leads, we created a simple contact form.
This was placed at strategic points throughout the site. We also added a header containing the client's phone number.
